Video: Want To Learn Secrets About Your Relationship? Check Out Your Sleeping Style!

You probably don’t give much thought to how you curl up with your partner when going to bed after a long day (unless you’re strategically assessing how to steal some of their warmth in the winter months!). However, it turns out that the way you sleep with your other half can tell you a lot more about your relationship than you might expect. DNews is here to explain why, and to provide a quick and easy way to assess and interpret some of the clues you might discover.

Using survey data and scientific research about different sleeping positions, this video gives you a way to assess some of the underlying dynamics in your relationship.

For example, whether you sleep on your back, stomach or side can mean something different depending on where and how your partner is sleeping. Some positions suggest closeness and a sense of comfort, while others hint at distance or unresolved conflict.

You can also learn quite a bit about yourself and your own emotions by thinking about sleep positions—there are statistics associating your sleep style with everything from job satisfaction to Pin Itparticular types of dreams.

While more research is admittedly needed to get a better grip on whether some of these connections are merely coincidental, the video certainly provides fascinating food for thought.
