When it comes to happiness, one of the most effective, vitally important, and underrated keys is doing it deliberately and with intention. Becoming clear on what happiness really is, shifting your approach, and learning what works for you when it comes to creating your own happiness, joy, and inner-peace on purpose can be life changing.

Authentically happy people don’t find happiness like you’d find a penny on the ground. They make it happen with action. They consciously and deliberately create it. They’re not lucky; they’re just passionately dedicated to their own joy, growth, and very best life on a daily basis.

When I finally understood this concept, everything shifted for me. I finally took responsibility for my own happiness and committed myself to changing my pattern of life-long moderate depression and everyday mediocrity to a life of deliberately creating joy and living by heart-centered intention every day. It changed everything.

Today I live a joyful, magical, incredible life that I’m so filled with gratitude for, and the uplifting satisfaction and motivation of knowing that I’m in charge of creating it is a great feeling. I no longer leave my happiness in the hands of anyone else, or allow it to be dependent upon any circumstance or outcome. Best feeling ever!

I recently gave a talk about The Power of Re-Thinking Happiness at TEDx Culver City, where I shared stories from my own (sometimes rough) journey Pin Itto happiness, as well as what happiness actually is, what it isn’t, and where exactly to start when it comes to creating more of it in our lives.

I hope you enjoy the talk, and I hope sharing my personal story and the happiness concepts and techniques I’ve discovered will be of service to you in creating more joy, satisfaction, and happiness in your life and in the lives of those you love.
