7 Smoothie Recipes For Rapid Weight Loss

Smoothies are low in fat, rich in nutrients and loaded with fiber. This make them the perfect weight loss food.

1. Matcha Pear Green Protein Smoothie.


2 scoops of protein powder in vanilla
1 cup almond milk
1 cup spinach
1 pear, with skin on
1/2 teaspoon of matcha tea powder

Why it works? 

  • The pear adds loads of Vitamin C and fiber, which is essential for weight loss.
  • The matcha green tea adds caffeine which not only gives you an energy boost, but also increases you metabolism rate.
  • The protein powder helps you stay full for longer.
  • The spinach provides a whole bunch of important vitamins with only 6 calories per cup.

2. Detox Green Smoothie.


½ cup water
1 stalk kale
1 cup spinach
½ lemon, skin on
½ inch piece of peeled ginger
1/3 of a medium cucumber
1 pear, skin on
3 mint leaves

  • Ginger helps regulate Cholesterol and can boost your metabolism by up to 20%.
  • Pear has about 5.5g of hunger fighting fiber and just 100 calories.

3. Watermelon Smoothie.


6 cups of seedless watermelon
1 cup of lemon sherbet, non-fat milk, or low-fat vanilla yoghurt.
12 ice cubes

  • Watermelon contains only 30 calories per 100g.  Each wedge of watermelon also contains less than a gram of fat and is cholesterol-free. Plus watermelon is more than 90 percent water and can help you stay hydrated.
  • Watermelon also rich in vitamins A, C, B-6 and thiamine.
  • Non-fat milk (or low-fat yoghurt) provides you with calcium and vitamin D.

4. Pineapple-Banana Smoothie.


1 cup pineapple
1 banana
1 apple
2 cups spinach (or other leafy green)
1/2 – 1 cup water

  • Pineapples have a very high water content. This  means they make you feel full for longer and keep you hydrated.
  • Pineapples reduce inflammation and aid digestion. Both of these processes can help with weight loss.
  • Bananas are low in calories and fat but are rich in nutrients and will keep you full for longer.

5. Blueberry Breakfast Smoothie.


8 ounces of water

1/2 of a large banana
1/3 cup of soy protein
1/2 tablespoon of flaxseed oil
1/4 cup of blueberries
1/2 tablespoon of apple juice concentrate or honey
1 teaspoon of psyllium seed husks

Why it works? 

  • Blueberries have a high level of naturally phytochemicals, occurring antioxidants, that can help you lose belly fat.

1 cup strawberries
1 large apple
2 cups spinach
