Reduce Your Wrinkles With An Egg

Although the aging process of the skin is a natural occurrence, this doesn’t mean you just have to accept the appearance of wrinkles. It is possible to spend a fortune on treatments or creams, but the effects are usually short-lived.

However, there is a way to get rid of unsightly wrinkles and restore a youthful look to skin without breaking the bank. The special ingredient to younger-looking skin is no secret either, as it can be found in your kitchen and has been a vital part of skin care for ages. This is why those who know about the wonderful properties of eggs are not concerned about getting caught with it on their face.

What Do Eggs Contain To Make Them So Beneficial?

Everyone knows that eggs are super-foods that are incredibly nutritious, pack antioxidants and are high in quality protein, but they are not just for eating either. The following list of ingredients found in eggs also makes them very beneficial for your skin. Additionally, you’ll find that eggs are great for shrinking large pores and tightening the skin.

•    Collagen: The collagen that are present in egg whites are able to fill the wrinkles and fine lines that appear on the skin due to aging or damage.
•    Potassium: Eggs also contain potassium, which is great for preserving skin cell moisture.
•    Magnesium: Slow down the aging process of skin, thanks to the magnesium present in eggs.
•    Albumin: Another great help in the fight against wrinkles is the albumin in eggs.
•    Protein: If you want to increase the elasticity of your skin, which decreases with age, you’ll appreciate the protein that eggs contain.
•    Vitamins: To nourish and hydrate your skin, look no further than the vitamins present in eggs.

Methods To Reduce Wrinkles Using Eggs

Egg White

Eggs are so effective at reducing wrinkles that you don’t even need anything else apart from the egg white to get the job done. Using only egg white is a great way to take care of wrinkles that appear on the forehead, face, neck, under the eyes and even your hands or feet.

Procedure: First separate the egg white from a single egg, and then spread it evenly across your face, neck, feet or hands, depending on the area you want to treat. Allow the layer to dry for about ten minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water and mild soap. Follow this by rinsing with cold water, and repeat the process daily for the best results. The inner layer of liquid found inside the egg shells you used can also be applied directly to wrinkles and then rinsed off after 15 minutes.

Egg White Along With Yogurt

The effects of eggs can be enhanced even more by combining it with other ingredients. For example, adding yogurt to the mixture creates a mask that is able to exfoliate the skin while also tightening it.

Procedure: Separate the egg white from a single egg, and then mix it with one tablespoon of yogurt and one teaspoon of sugar granules. After applying this mask to your face, massage it gently for three minutes, and then leave it on for another fifteen. Finally, rinse the mask off using lukewarm water, and repeat the procedure three times a week.

Egg White Along With Honey

Adding honey to the egg white mixture not only hydrates the skin, but also provides extra nourishment to leave it feeling rejuvenated. For additional benefits you can also add either one teaspoon of soybean flour or one teaspoon of olive oil to the mixture below before applying it to your face.

Procedure: Separate the egg white from a single egg, and mix it together thoroughly with a single teaspoon of honey. Apply the mixture to your face, and leave it on for about fifteen minutes before rinsing it off with cool water. Repeat the procedure three times a week.

Egg White Along With Chamomile Essential Oil And Avocado

The addition of chamomile oil and avocado to the egg white mixture is great for moisturizing skin, removing excess oil and tightening facial pores. This is thanks to the vitamin A and amino acids in the avocados.

Procedure: Separate the egg white from two eggs, and blend it with two drops of chamomile essential oil and mashed avocado. Clean your face and neck before applying the mixture, and then leave it on for twenty minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water. This process can be repeated four times a week.

Egg White Along With Beetroot

Beetroot is another great ingredient to add to eggs for a rejuvenating effect, as the vegetable is rich in antioxidants. To avoid staining your face red, make use of white or yellow beetroot.

Procedure: Separate the egg white from a single egg, and then mix it with the smooth paste of half a blended beetroot. Make sure that you stir the mixture well before applying it to your cleansed neck and face. After about twenty minutes, rinse the mixture off using lukewarm and then cold water. The procedure should be done three times a week.

Egg White Along With Peach

Thanks to nutrients, such as folates, vitamin E, potassium, lutein, and zeaxanthin, peaches can offer plenty of benefits when used in conjunction with egg whites. From promoting skin elasticity to preventing free radical damage and soothing dry skin, this mixture can make a big difference to your skin.

Procedure: Separate the egg white from a single egg, and then blend it with one peach. You can also blend in a few mint leaves for additional benefits. Apply the egg and peach mixture to your face before rinsing it off with lukewarm and then cold water after about thirty minutes. Repeat this procedure three times a week to receive the benefits.

Tips

Before applying any of the masks make sure that your face is thoroughly cleaned. It is best to use a mixture of warm water and a non-abrasive soap to clean your face and neck. Ensure that all cosmetics are thoroughly removed before proceeding. Taking a hot shower or steam bath to open up the pores before applying the mask can also be beneficial.

Things To Keep In MindPin It

If you suffer from acne-prone skin, it might be better to avoid applying egg, as there is an increased chance of breakouts due to clogged pores. It is also wise to first consult with your dermatologist to determine whether you might have an allergic skin reaction to eggs. If you find that your skin is too dry after applying the egg masks, use a small amount of either olive or coconut oil. Finally, be sure to thoroughly clean your skin after using the egg masks to avoid the spread of bacteria.

Other Considerations

While eggs can certainly help with wrinkles you must still exercise proper skin care and protection. Always use sunscreen to help protect your skin from UV damage when going outside, and remember to moisturize often to prevent the skin from drying.
