It’s almost summer, a time to shape up, dress down and have a blast. It is every girl’s dream to feel great in a bikini. However, not everyone always feels this way. In the colder seasons, it’s not uncommon to relax your eating and fitness regimes.
It can be harmful to your body if you try to lose a large amount of weight in a short amount of time.
There are, however, safe diet plans we could all embrace in the quest to shape up.
“It does not matter if you were born an athlete, or you were born without an exercise loving bone in your body, health and fitness is your birthright,” says Dr. John Berardi.
Exercise is a mandatory requirement for a healthy living whatever the method you chose. Be it walking, jogging, running, aerobics or even yoga. Use the activity that fits you best.
However, it is important to accompany these exercises with the best diet plan that suits your body’s metabolism. According to research done by Brian St. Pierre, you are required to eat three hours before exercising.
Make sure that you eat food that will;
• Help sustain your energy and performance such as fats as they slow down digestion which contributes to maintaining the blood glucose and insulin levels.
• Hydrate. Drink water.
• Preserve muscle mass. A good example is protein such as beans.
• Speed up recovery, such as carbs.
In an article by Su Reid about summer shape up a meal plan, he recommends that you eat fresh and light, with a 1,200 jumpstart in calories during the first few weeks.
The best way to reduce calories is to lessen the amount of food you eat per serving; this should be followed by an increase in the number of times you eat at an interval of three hours. Food takes about three hours to be digested.
Eating light, fresh, and frequently increases the rate of metabolism in your body and further stimulates weight loss.
The human body is designed to conserve energy when not fed, therefore the notion that cutting out on meals will help you reduce weight only affects your health by denying it the nutrients required to boost your immune system. Therefore, instead of a lean body, you get a sick body.
Research has shown that protein plays a vital role in providing the structural building blocks of cells as it aids in rebuilding and repairing of these cells. With this information, it is very clear that in every serving, there has to be a protein of your choice.
With exercise and healthy eating, one can keep fit and healthy. Your protein does not have to be meat; you could opt for low-fat yogurt or a protein shake.
This is a healthier option as compared to meat since it is quickly absorbed into the body within the recommended three hours as compared to the three days required to digest meat.
One of the primary facts to keep in mind during this dieting period is to avoid alcohol altogether.
Besides increasing your appetite tremendously, alcohol contains a lot of calories which are useless to the body. It, however, does not end there.
According to the diet guru, Robert C, “Here’s the problem with all alcoholic beverages, and the reason I recommend refraining from alcohol consumption on a diet. Alcohol, whenever taken in, is the first fuel to burn.
While that’s going on, your body will not burn fat. This does not stop the weight loss, it just postpones it, since the alcohol does not store as glycogen, and you immediately go back into ketosis/lipolysis after the alcohol is used up.”
While struggling to lose the extra weight, alcohol is making it harder for you.
He further advises that if you need or have to drink, do not mix with other drinks due to the extra sugar that they contain.
Conclusion
As you can see above, I have not listed any diet. This is because there is no best diet plan for weight loss.
All that is required is for one to eat light, fresh and frequently. Sure there are a lot of foods or drinks that fasten the body’s metabolism.
Some such as a mixture of ginger, garlic, lemon, cinnamon, and honey. Each of the mentioned containing it’s function in the mix.
Some choose green tea mixed with the green coffee extract, raspberry ketone, and the African mango, all of which stimulate the metabolism, cuts cravings and boosts the energy levels.
All this can work. It all depends on one’s body type. Some people need to exercise thoroughly to lose weight, while others just need a detox session.
Find what works for you and eat well. Take moderate exercises to ensure that the body is toned and healthy, hydrate and be happy.
Laugh and enjoy your body and your life, because with or without the perfect body, no one can hold it against you if you own it.
