1. Don’t Let Go
Sounds pretty basic, but unfortunately in life (just as in rock-climbing) when things are tough many people often find it easier to just give up. But it is important to remember that achieving success takes time, and if you really want something you have got to stay patient and positive. You have got to learn how to pick yourself up again after a bad start to the day and keep going. Next time things go wrong just remember this: Thomas Edison failed 10,000 times at getting the light bulb right before he finally did it.

2. Hesitation Is Bad
Often in order to reach your goals you need to be bold and decisive. If it takes you ages to make a decision you will probably miss a good opportunity.

3. Have A Plan
It is vital to have a direction in life, to know where you are going and how you are going to get there. A plan in life puts your dreams within your reach. By taking certain steps you know that you are on your way to make your dreams happen. Of course, at first you also have to decide on what your goals are, a good way to do that is to try and draw your future.

4. The Move Is The End
Not only do you need to have a plan to get to the top, but also remember that every individual move needs to be completed. You can’t just stop in the middle.

5. Know How To Rest
You might think that taking time to rest will slow you down, but in reality not getting enough rest will only have a negative effect on your mood, health and stress levels. In order to stay focused and active you need to take time to rest and recover. Just trust us – sleep has more to do with your mental wellbeing than you realize.

6. Fear Works Against You
Fear hinders your progress. It stops you from seeing clearly and making the right decisions. You need to concentrate on your progress and not on the consequences of failing.

7. Opposites Are Good
The most obvious solution is not always the best one. It’s time to think outside the box and take advice from other people.

8. Strength Doesn’t Always Equal Success
Same as hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.

Pin It9. Know How To Let Go
Even though you shouldn’t give up easily, if you feel like you have been holding onto something that makes you unhappy for too long, it might be time to just let go. It is okay to give up on things that are not helping you. You are changing. The world around you is changing. It’s normal to want to try something new.
