Those who have already read it will understand that the theory behind attracting abundance into your life rests on the knowledge that we attract what we desire when we give out the right energy to the conscious universe.
So the first place to start attracting abundance is with our attitudes, beliefs, and actions.
1. Change Your Mindset
The term mindset is used to describe the set of beliefs we have about ourselves, the world and almost every other concept like success, wealth, families, and happiness. The tricky part is that many of our mindsets are subconscious.
So people may actively want to attract more money into their lives but if they have a subconscious mindset that tells them they don’t deserve wealth then actually they probably never will attract the money they’d like.
Similarly, if you don’t believe the world is abundant then you won’t be able to ‘see’ all that you have and could attract.
2. Be Grateful
The first step is acknowledging what you do have and being grateful for that.
Do it consciously and daily. Even if you feel down on your luck try to shift your focus to what you do have, to what is going right, to the silver linings.
However difficult our circumstances there will be others who are worse off and would be really grateful for what we actually have. So start each day by focussing on what you can be grateful for.
3. Get Out Into Nature
If you have trouble believing that the world is an abundant place then get out into nature.
There is something that happens when we are close to nature that reminds us that actually, we control very little, flowers bloom without our help, seasons change when they will and the world is abundant – just look at the leaves as they fall off the trees and pile up in gutters and hedgerows.
Abundance is all around us. As humans, we may not have been good stewards of this earth but when you are out in nature it is easy to see abundance all around us.
4. Use Affirmations
One way to deal with unhelpful mindsets is to simply affirm the truth.
So if you are seeking to be happier in your life then affirm to yourself that you deserve happiness and want to attract this.
Clearly, you need to take some steps yourself by considering why you aren’t happy, choosing to be positive and actively deciding to look after yourself and your mental and physical health.
But the first step is to consciously affirm what is the truth.
5. Set Intentions
An intention is a decision that we make consciously. Often we drift without making decisions, life sort of happens to us rather than because we make certain things happen.
By setting an intention – for example, to be happier, then we are actively giving a message to ourselves, to others and the universe that happiness is what we desire.
It rests on a belief that we can be responsible for our lives and the choices we make will determine many aspects of our life.
So if you set an intention to be happier and realize that your job is making you unhappy then it’s up to you to take action to change things.
6. Dare To Dream
Allow yourself to visualize the future you’d like and when you do that try to get in touch with the emotions that you’d feel.
Using visualization like this is a powerful way to change your own attitude and to start to get your subconscious working to help you achieve what you want in life.
Many people find creating a vision board can help.
A vision board means collecting images of what you are seeking to attract – not just physical things, the images can be what you would see in your life if you were happier and how you would feel.
Somehow when you imagine good outcomes the reality changes a bit.
7. Be Alert To Opportunities
When we start to take the steps above what typically happens is opportunities present themselves, this may be a good idea that seems to ‘pop’ into your mind, or someone getting in touch with an idea or opportunity.
I have heard stories from all sorts of people who have had things happen when they have set an intention.
Our subconscious is very powerful and when we start being explicit about what we want and setting an intention then things somehow start to happen.
8. Trust Your Instinct
One of the key ways we can respond to our subconscious is by learning to listen to its prompts.
This may well come as a ‘gut’ feeling or intuition about something and if you have set a particular attention it is well worth learning to tune into your subconscious.
You can do this by listening to your internal chatter (what you hear when you are doing something that allows your thoughts to wander) or creating space through mindfulness or medication to learn to listen to your intuition.
So it is up to you. If your life isn’t as abundant in any area as you’d like it to then start with these steps today to attract more abundance into your life right now.
