By having daily habits you will be creating a powerful and positive impact in your love life. I am going to share with you 10 habits that you can start using today, to build stronger bonds with your partner.
1. Morning Wake Up
Make sure that one of your first communications in the morning expresses just how much your partner means to you. A simple ‘I love you’, or ‘you look great’ etc is a great start to the day ahead.
2. Quality Time
Spend time sitting and having breakfast together in the morning. Make sure the TV, phones etc are all switched off. It doesn’t matter if you only have 15 minutes or less. By just allowing yourselves to have this time together – you will be set up for the rest of the day.
3. Check In With Your Partner During The Day
Now I don’t mean this in the stalking sense – that you send them 20 texts/calls in a day. This applies in the supportive sense. By keeping in touch with your partner during the day, you will be more in sync with what kind of a day they are having. You will also be able to offer them some loving words should they need them.
4. Hug Each Other As Soon As You See Each Other After Work
By hugging someone, you change your energy and it makes it easier to let go of stress and to connect with them and let them know that you are there for each other.
5. Show Them That You Love Them Every Day
It’s as simple as that. It doesn’t matter how you express appreciation in your relationship, just learn to do it every single day. You don’t have to go all out for big expensive gifts; giving a person a hug, making them a cup of tea, can mean so much more.
6. Have Realistic Expectations
Relationships are not all love and roses all of the time. They require a lot of work and each person to value the other. It’s important to know that you will manage the bad times just as well as the good times. Keep the communication open and honest within the relationship it will help to build stronger bonds.
7. Turn Off Phones, Television, Computers And Tablets
Make this habit an important one – In the evenings be really present with your partner. Set a couple of hours each night to allow yourselves to catch up with each other’s day by switching off all phones, iPad etc when you get home from work.
8. Share The Household Chores
In this modern age both parties have a hard working day – so it’s important to work together when you get home. Help each other when preparing a meal or washing up. You will reconnect as a couple and not take each other for granted.
9. Say “Good Night” Every Night
This shows your partner that, regardless of how upset you are with them, you still want to be in the relationship. It says that what you and your partner have is bigger than any single upsetting incident.
10. Speak Positively About Your Partner
When you speak about your partner, to family, friends and the outer world, only express their positive traits. This will help to deepen the connection between you and create more fondness and love. When you express negative traits about each other outside of the relationship, you are essentially bringing the negativity back into your life and heading for a break up.
In order to have a successful relationship in love you need to be giving it the same amount of focus and attention, as you are giving to other areas of your life. So be mindful about how you want your relationship to be with your partner!
